Michael Jackson, Tom Waits & The Rolling Stones go Gold & Platinum
Over the last month, a number of artists were given Gold and Platinum awards by the RIAA.
Michael Jackson had the biggest boost in his award numbers as his album Bad went to nine-times platinum, signifying sales of nine million units.
Other Jackson albums to receive awards were Number Ones (4x), Essential (3x), Greatest Hits: HIStory Volume 1 (1x) and The Ultimate Collection (1x).
Two of his videos were also upgraded, Live in Bucharest to eight-times platinum and Live in Wembley to gold.
Other veteran artists receiving certificates were Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, Tom Waits and Muddy Waters and the Rolling Stones.
