Oasis to appear on Spotify very soon.

Oasis' back catalogue will be available on Spotify "very soon" according to the band's management.

Oasis are one of the few big name bands whose music is still unavailable to Spotify users. However, John Leahy from management company Ignition told Music Week that it is in talks with the music streaming service provider and that fans will be able to stream albums such as 'Definitely Maybe' and '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' shortly. He stated: "It is the case that historically the Oasis catalogue isn't on Spotify in the UK, but we're talking to Spotify at the moment to address that - and it will be addressed very soon."

Leahy's partner, Ignition co-owner Alec McKinlay, adds: "It's purely a matter of timing. If you're working with artists in any part of the industry, you have to engage with fans in the way they want you to."

Earlier this year Pink Floyd became the latest band holding their music off Spotify to put their back catalogue onto the service. The band's back catalogue was unlocked after fans streamed their song 'Wish You Were Here' one million times. Pink Floyd's label, EMI, previously signed a deal with Spotify in 2011, but Pink Floyd's music was not included in the agreement.

Others artists yet to join the streaming service include The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC.
