“Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.”

New vinyl library opens in London
Two London DJs have turned their love of vinyl records into a project that benefits the whole community.
Sophie Austin and Ellie Rendell were constantly trying to build up their vinyl collections for DJing gigs, then had the idea that a library-type rental service would be a great way to pool their resources with other music fans.
The Vinyl Library opened yesterday in Stoke Newington in northwest London.
After either paying a small membership fee or donating some of their vinyl to the store's collection, members may borrow up to five records at a time.
Austin and Rendell soon plan to screen music documentaries in the space and offer DJ lessons, especially to other women.
They're open every day from 11-9 and are staffed by volunteers, so stop by and check out this welcome addition to the Hackney music scene.
The Vinyl Library is now open at Unit 1, Foulden Road, London N16 7UU, from 11am-9pm, Monday-Sunday
